The day started out early and the sunrise was spectacular. We met at The Prime Table Restaurant in Niles
Michigan to gather and drive up to Decatur, Michigan to meet with "The Good Volks"  folks and to drive our
Color tour. The Parking lot at the meeting place was a instant car show. We had allot of people stopping by to
see the 18 VW's parked.
I have to admit, I was a bit nervous having all of these VW's following me and not getting lost. I only missed
one turn and quickly got back on track. I have learned to drive any car tours prior to holding one as to avoid
dirt roads which is not easy in this part of the state. The amazing thing is that when we drove this route a
week ago there was no color. The countryside has started it's eruption of color just in time for our drive.
Our first stop was at TK Lawless park in Cass County. We ran into another all make car club from Elkhart
there. It was a great day to be and driving the vintage cars.
We ended the tour in Dowagiac, Michigan at Zeke's where we had a room reserved for 34 people. We were
all hungry and everything worked out well. Ed Chandler had time to order his sandwich and reattach his
clutch cable before his meal arrived.
It was great to meet up with "The Good Volks Group" and thanks to Bren for suggesting a combined drive. It
was splendid to meet everyone.
