| What a day for a color tour. The weather was perfect. A bit windy, but warm temperatures graced the day. We met at the Meijers located at Portage and Cleveland Rd for Doughnuts and juice. When you park a few VW's together you will tend to draw a crowd. We had allot of cars drive up asking questions. We could have had a small VW show on the spot. We travelled the roads of Northern Indiana and southwestern Michigan and took in some great scenery. We stopped at a great fruit stand at Springhope Farms to stretch our legs and to buy some great tasting apples. We travelled to New Buffalo Michigan to dine at the local landmark Redamaks. This was there last day open for the season and we had a bit of a wait but the food was worth the wait. Thanks to everyone that attend the first color tour of the MVWG. everyone had a great time and loved the idea of having these type of driving events throughout the year. |
